Joan Moshimer hooks are great for rug hooking.  

Turned maple handle with chrome ferrule, in Fine and Medium and are made in Maine

If you are not sure what size to use.  Here is a general size chart for these hooks:

• FINE: 2, 3, or 4 Cut
• MEDIUM: 3 or 4 Cuts
• COARSE: 4, 5 or 6 Cuts
• PRIMITIVE: 5, 6, 7, 8 Cuts
